Preparing for Presentations in the ICon Lab

For your practice session, you will need to make sure that the display screens are turned on and the input source is correct. To do this, perform the following:
  1. TURN ON THE SYSTEM. Touch the AMX panel on the main desk and select "Full system". This will turn on all the screens. For more details refer to the "How do I turn ON the screens" section on the ICon page.
  2. CHECK SOURCE INPUT. On the "Video Presets" tab on the AMX panel, select the 3-screen setup by pressing "Main Only" button.
  3. TURN OFF THE SYSTEM. After you are done, make sure you turn off the system by touching "EXIT" button in the lower left corner on the AMX touch panel. Once prompted, confirm the power down.

*NOTE: The system is programmed to automatically shut down every day at 7pm. If you need to use the system beyond this time, you will have 60 seconds to cancel the shut down once the timer starts. If the system shuts down, allow at least 3 min for the system to cool down before powering back on. Failing to do so will result in projectors powering out of sequence.

Other Information

The schedule is available from the eStudio website.

For recommendations regarding presentation development and format, see the 3 Screen Presentations page.

For information regarding the presentation locations, see the Immersive Construction Lab or 302 Engineering Unit B pages.

If you have any difficulties with the projectors, e.g., not working correctly or the colors not rendering correctly, then reset the video switch. There are very easy instructions for resetting the video switch contained in a PDF file that is posted on the desktop. Please open the PDF file, go to the website address, enter the password (in PDF file), and then 'Cycle All Outlets'. It should only take 30 seconds for the switch to reset, which solves a vast majority of projection issues.

For further information on the AMX touch panel and changing sources refer to the ICon Lab page.
